Excited

I just met my students in COM 11 (Intro to Communication Theory) and COM 257 (Graduate Com Seminar: Problems and Issues) this week. It looks like I'm up for yet another interesting semester. Most of my students seem like they have lots of things on their minds, which makes me even more self-assured that my [last minute] decision to include blogs as a course requirement was a good one.

I've always said that there is much to learn from my students' varied experiences and perspectives on diverse issues. I'm quite sure that these blogs would be a clear proof of that, and I'm hoping that by making my students share their thoughts and reflections to the public (or the online community, to be more specific), more people will find inspiration and meaning from the world around them, and the situations they face.

This year, I am definitely looking forward to an exciting and meaningful semester with my students. But then again, I always do.
